The basal rates listed in the device settings are set at the time of the most recent upload. The basal rates listed here may not be the same basal rates defined by the system for previous uploads, and can only be considered a baseline for future uploads.
Note: For Insulin pumps, the redesigned devices tab now includes a historical look-back selector, to review the device settings at the time of each previous upload. To learn more, please see Navigating the New Device Settings View
If there is a discrepancy between the basal rates set in the device settings versus the basal delivered on the logbook, there are typically two potential causes:
- There was a manual change to the basal post-upload
- There may be multiple basal programs on the insulin pump
To verify the basal rates defined on the logbook are the same as what was delivered by the insulin pump, you can compare the logbook's delivered basal to the Basal History information on the user's insulin pump.
