This is a step-by-step guide to uploading your patient's Omnipod® PDM data using your clinic's computer and Glooko's Omnipod® Web Uploader.
NOTE: Devices synced from the Web Uploader cannot be unassigned. Please double-check your patient details before assigning devices uploaded with the Web Uploader.
NOTE: If you are using an Omnipod® 5, your device may only sync wirelessly. For information on syncing your Omnipod® 5, please see our article How do I connect my Omnipod® 5 with Glooko?
Uploading an Omnipod® System
In order to upload a patient's Omnipod® EROS via the Web Uploader option, please follow these steps:
- Log into clinic account on my.glooko.com
- For an existing patient: click patient's name, then click the Upload Omnipod PDM option
- For a new patient: click Create Patient Account, fill out the information, then click the Upload Omnipod System Data
- Plug the Omnipod® System into the computer
- The Omnipod® System will beep 4 times, then display USB Device Ready
- Then click Upload Omnipod System Data
- Select the location of the file (Removable Disk or USB Drive)
- Open the file with today's date in the name
- Once the upload is complete, you will be redirected to the Assign Devices tab
- Click the Assign Devices tab to view a list of all devices uploaded within the last 24 hours.
- Locate the device you uploaded via Serial Number. Glooko will attempt to determine if the device has ever been uploaded to an existing patient record.
NOTE: Web Uploads cannot be unassigned. Please double-check you are assigning to the correct patient before assigning the device data.
- If a match is found: You will have the option to Assign to [Patient Name] or Assign to Other Patient. If you click Assign to Other Patient, you will be prompted to search for an existing patient account or create a new patient account.
- If a match is not found: The device will be flagged as a New Device, and you will have the option to Assign. After clicking Assign, you will be prompted to search for an existing patient account or create a new patient account.
- Once a device is assigned, it will move from Unassigned to Recently Assigned. You then have the option to view the patient account (by clicking the patient's name) or Create Report.
Uploading an Omnipod DASH™
In order to upload the Omnipod DASH via the Web Uploader option, please follow the steps below. Before beginning, please do the following:
- Please turn the DASH off.
- Please make sure that you do not have any cables plugged into your computer or your DASH
- Using the cable that came with the device or the cable supplied by Glooko, please use the following steps:
Part 1:
- Turn on the DASH
- Enter the pin code to unlock the DASH
- Plug the USB cable into the computer and then into your DASH
- When prompted, choose “Export data” and then Done/Ok
Part 2:
- Make sure that the DASH is still on and unlocked.
- Log into your clinic account on my.glooko.com
- For an existing patient: click patient's name, then click Upload Omnipod PDM
- For a new patient: click Create Patient Account, fill out the information, then click Upload Omnipod System Data
- If asked to select which Omnipod model you use, select the Omnipod System option NOT the DASH regardless of what you use.
- Open the file: Android
- Open the file: Internal Storage.
- Open the file with today's date in the name.
- Once the upload is complete, you will need to navigate back to the home screen by clicking the Glooko logo in the upper left corner
- Click the Assign Devices tab to view a list of all devices uploaded within the last 24 hours.
- View all devices pending assignment to a patient account in the Unassigned section. Glooko attempts to match these devices to a patient based on the device's serial number.
- Locate the device you would like to assign.

- If a match is found: You will have the option to Assign to [Patient Name] or Assign to Other Patient. If you click Assign to Other Patient, you will be prompted to search for an existing patient account or create a new patient account.
