Good news! If you have a Google Mail (Gmail) account, you have the ability to connect multiple Glooko accounts to a single, shared email address.
NOTE: This guide is for unifying communications from Glooko to a single, shared email address. Each Glooko account must have a unique email address. It is not possible to have multiple email addresses on one Glooko account.
This might be helpful if you have multiple family members, each with his or her own diabetes device(s), who will all be using Glooko - and you want an easy way to keep track of your family's Glooko account information and correspondence.
To connect multiple Glooko accounts to a shared Gmail account
In order to explain this configuration, we'll assume you have three family members (Lucy, George and Sally) that you'd like to connect to your shared Gmail account (myfamily@gmail.com).
When registering your family's Glooko accounts:
- Follow the basic instructions for creating each Glooko account here.
- In the Email field for each family member, enter the prefix of the shared email address (myfamily) followed by the plus (+) symbol and the family member's name (+lucy), so the full email address should read: myfamily+lucy@gmail.com.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for each additional family member (myfamily+george@gmail.com, myfamily+sally@gmail.com).
Each family member will have his or her own unique Glooko account and login. That login will be the unique email address you entered during registration (for example, myfamily+lucy@gmail.com). All Glooko email correspondence will be routed to the single, shared email address (myfamily@gmail.com).
Gmail is designed to ignore any characters following the plus (+) symbol, which allows for an unlimited number of associated email addresses.
